Catalogue Raisonne
The catalogue raisonne is the culmination of the Foundation’s many years of research into the life and works of Jasper Cropsey.
The three volumes cover the artist’s known bodies of work in oil and watercolor. The majority of the research was completed by the Foundation’s art historian, Dr. Kenneth W. Maddox.
Volume I includes a biographical essay on the artist by Anthony Speiser. The essay in Volume II concentrates on Aladdin, Cropsey’s palatial summer home of his design in Warwick, NY. The Volume III essay centers on Cropsey’s last home, Ever Rest, in Hastings-on-Hudson.
In addition indexes, chronology, and several other appendices are included in each volume. The three volumes include approximately one thousand color images of the artist’s works.
The Jasper F. Cropsey Catalogue Raisonne is only available through Amazon.
